The polar bear (Ursus maritimus) is one of the largest and most impressive bear species in the world. Polar bears have dense white fur that helps them camouflage in snow and ice and protects them from the cold. Their skin under the fur is black, which helps absorb heat. They also have a layer of fat that provides additional insulation. Male polar bears can weigh between 350 and 700 kg, sometimes even more, while females are usually smaller, with an average weight of around 150 to 250 kg. Their length can reach up to 2,5 meters.
